One part of Primary market is moving faster and getting closer to asking price
Freddie Mac put the average 30-year fixed rate at 7.40% as of October 15, 2026. That is the highest it has been since January 2025, according to Realtor.com. Even so, one ZIP code in Primary market is moving faster than the rest.
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 141 homes sold in ZIP 31605 in the three months ending August 31, 2026. That is up 20.5% from the same months of 2025. No other ZIP code in this market saw sales rise year over year.
The Real Estate Data Aggregator measured 2.8 months of supply in ZIP 31605. That is the tightest of any ZIP code tracked here. Less supply means buyers have fewer choices, and sellers have a little more ground to stand on.
